How is cockroach control done?
Step 1: Inspect all the potential areas for any cockroach infestation
Potential areas include:
Indoor:
- Kitchen sink
- Floor trap
- Cable trunking
- Cabinet
- Rubbish Chute
Outdoor:
- Drains
- Manhole
Step 2: Placed small quantity of gel bait along at the harbouring areas.
Gel baits work well with:
- German Cockroach
- Brown Banded Cockroach
- Oriental Cockroach
Step 3: Placed granular baits at strategic locations
Areas to place them:
- Near rubbish chute
- Near floor trap
- Under the sink
Granular baits work well with:
- American cockroach
Step 4: Residual Spraying
Areas to spray :
- Rubbish chute
- Floor trap
- Entrance of the door
- Drain
- Manhole
- High cluster infestation
Step 5: ULV Misting
If the infestation is heavy, misting is done
Areas to mist :
- Kitchen
- Cabinets
- Underneath stove
- Hard to reach areas
Step 6: Communication
Explaining what was done and what can the client expect during and after the treatment.
During treatment:
It is possible to see more of the cockroaches during the treatment as their harbouring areas is effected with chemical.
After treatment:
The cockroach will not die immediately as most of our chemical has a ” touch on ” effect. This mean that for every cockroach that is in touch with the chemical, it will get back to its harbourage areas where more cockroach will be touch with them. This create a domino effect. The incubation period will take about a few hours.
