What Is InnoSight™?
InnoSight™ is Innovative Pest Management’s AI-powered rodent monitoring system. It uses camera units placed at key rodent activity points, including entry gaps, pipe runs, drainage access areas, behind commercial equipment and inside ceiling voids, to watch continuously for rodent movement using infrared-capable AI image recognition.
When the system detects confirmed rodent activity, an alert is sent to Innovative’s operations team immediately. The gap between a pest visit and the next scheduled service is no longer a blind spot. InnoSight™ fills it with continuous digital surveillance that generates actionable data around the clock.
Unlike CCTV installed for security purposes, InnoSight™ cameras are positioned and calibrated specifically for rodent detection in dark, low-access zones where rats and mice actually travel. The AI is trained to distinguish rodent movement from other motion sources, eliminating false alerts from insects or environmental changes.
Why continuous monitoring beats monthly inspections
Rodents are nocturnal and move fastest in the hours no technician is present. A monthly inspection confirms activity on the day of the visit. It tells you nothing about the other 29 days. InnoSight™ monitors every night, generates activity timestamps and builds population trend data that shows whether pressure is rising, falling or holding steady. When it rises, Innovative responds before the infestation escalates.

How the IoT pest monitoring technology works
InnoSight™ is an IoT (Internet of Things) pest monitoring system. Each camera unit is a network-connected edge device that processes AI image classification locally before transmitting detection events to a central operations dashboard. This edge-processing architecture means detection latency is measured in seconds, not minutes, and the system remains operational even during intermittent connectivity.
AI MODELTrained specifically on rodent movement signatures, distinguishing Norway rat, roof rat and house mouse gait patterns from insects, air movement and structural vibration.
INFRAREDPassive infrared imaging allows detection in zero-light conditions without emitting visible light that would alter rodent behaviour.
DATA LAYEREvery detection event writes a timestamped record to the monitoring log: zone, time, confidence score and camera ID. This structured dataset is what generates population trend analysis across service intervals.
The Process
How InnoSight™ Works
A four-stage deployment that closes the inspection gap permanently.
STAGE 1
Site Survey & Camera Placement
Our NEA-licensed team conducts a full rodent risk survey of the premises. High-probability activity zones are identified: pipe runs, drainage channels, loading dock perimeters, ceiling voids, behind commercial refrigeration units and known entry gaps. InnoSight™ cameras are positioned at these points, aimed precisely at the narrow runways and access points that rats and mice actually use.
Risk zone mapping
Entry point identification
Precision positioning
STAGE 2
CORE FUNCTION: AI CONTINUOUS MONITORING
AI Detection: 24 Hours, Every Night
Once deployed, InnoSight™ cameras run continuously. The AI detection engine analyses camera feeds in real time, using infrared imaging to operate in complete darkness. When rodent movement is identified, the system logs the event with a timestamp and location reference, building a precise activity record across every monitored zone.
The AI distinguishes rodent movement from other motion triggers, including insects crossing the lens, environmental vibration and air movement from vents, dramatically reducing false alerts compared to standard motion-triggered cameras.
Infrared night vision
Rodent-specific AI classification
Timestamped event logging
STAGE 3
Instant Alert & Rapid Response
When the AI confirms rodent activity, Innovative’s operations team receives an immediate alert. For clients on active response contracts, this triggers an unscheduled visit to the detection zone. The activity is investigated, trapping is adjusted and InnoTrap™ sensor units are repositioned if required. You are notified of the detection and the response, not left waiting until the next monthly visit to discover what happened three weeks ago.

Rapid response visit triggered
Client notified of every event
STAGE 4
Trend Reporting & Programme Adjustment
Every service visit includes a written report covering the monitoring period: total detection events, activity zones, time-of-night patterns and population trend direction. If detection frequency is rising, the programme is escalated. If it is declining and sustained at zero, the programme is maintained at a reduced intensity. The data drives the service, not a fixed-interval schedule that ignores what is actually happening at your property.

Ideal Applications
Who InnoSight™ Is For
F&B & Food Manufacturing
SFA and HACCP require documented rodent monitoring evidence. InnoSight™ generates the timestamped detection data and trend reports that replace a paper inspection log with verifiable digital evidence, stronger than any manual alternative.
Smart Warehouse Rodent Monitoring
Large-footprint logistics facilities with complex racking, dock access and overnight delivery activity are impossible to inspect thoroughly on a monthly visit. InnoSight™ IoT pest monitoring covers every zone continuously, alerting to any activity at dock doors, racking bases and loading bay perimeters without requiring physical access.
SMART WAREHOUSE USE CASE
IoT cameras deployed at 6 dock door perimeters and 4 racking base zones. Activity detected at 11:47 PM dock 3 during overnight delivery window. Innovative team alerted. InnoTrap units repositioned to dock 3 by 7:00 AM. Capture confirmed before next delivery shift.
Hotels & Hospitality
A rat detected by a guest is a reputational crisis. InnoSight™ monitors back-of-house areas, including kitchen loading docks, dry stores, refuse areas and service corridors, where rodent activity first appears well before it reaches guest-facing areas.
Condominiums & MCST
Bin centres, car parks, basement service areas and landscape drain channels are persistent rodent pressure points in Singapore condominiums. InnoSight™ provides the MCST management committee with documented monitoring data to present to residents and NEA if required.
Smart Hospital Rodent Monitoring
Hospitals and clinics require zero rodent exposure in patient care areas. InnoSight™ smart rodent monitoring covers high-risk ingress zones including refuse areas, loading bays and drainage risers continuously, so any breach is detected and responded to before it reaches wards, theatres or sterile environments.
SMART HOSPITAL USE CASE
IoT cameras at refuse bay, basement loading dock and two drainage riser access points. Zero detections across 47 consecutive monitoring days. NEA audit documentation generated from continuous data log. Infection control team presented trend report as part of healthcare pest management evidence file.
Schools & Institutions
Educational institutions with canteens, tuck shops and food preparation areas face heightened rodent risk. InnoSight™ monitors outside school hours, including nights and weekends, when activity peaks and no staff are present to detect it.
Companion Programme
InnoSight™ Works Best Alongside InnoTrap™
InnoSight™ detects that a rodent is present and where it is moving. InnoTrap™ is the smart sensor trap that confirms the rodent has been captured, sending a wireless alert the moment a trap is triggered. Together, they form Innovative’s complete digital rodent management system: detection, response and capture confirmation, all with documented data.
When InnoSight™ detects activity at a specific zone, InnoTrap™ units are positioned in that zone. The moment a capture occurs, Innovative is notified. No more daily trap-checking rounds. No undiscovered catches. No question about whether the programme is working.

Common Questions
InnoSight™ FAQ
Answers for facility managers, MCST committees and food operators evaluating digital rodent monitoring.
How is InnoSight™ different from standard CCTV cameras?⌄
Standard CCTV cameras are positioned for wide-angle security coverage. They are not designed or placed to detect rodent movement in the narrow runways, drainage channels, pipe runs and dark voids where rats and mice actually travel. InnoSight™ cameras are placed specifically at confirmed and likely rodent activity zones, calibrated for close-range infrared detection and equipped with AI that classifies rodent movement specifically, filtering out insects, air movement and environmental interference. A CCTV feed shows you a room. InnoSight™ monitors a rat’s runway.
How quickly does InnoSight™ alert Innovative’s team when it detects activity?⌄
When the AI confirms a rodent detection event, an alert reaches Innovative’s operations team within approximately 60 seconds. For clients on active response programmes, this triggers an unscheduled visit to investigate and adjust the trapping configuration. You are also notified directly so you are aware of every detection event at your property, not just what gets written in the next monthly report.
Does InnoSight™ replace conventional trapping or work alongside it?⌄
InnoSight™ is a detection and monitoring system. It does not capture or eliminate rodents on its own. It works alongside InnoTrap™ smart sensor traps and, where appropriate, conventional trapping configurations within the Standard Programme. InnoSight™ tells Innovative’s team exactly where activity is occurring and when, so that trapping resources are positioned at confirmed activity zones rather than distributed across a property based on guesswork. The result is faster capture and a more efficient programme.
What kind of reports does InnoSight™ generate and are they usable for SFA or HACCP audits?⌄
Every InnoSight™ service visit generates a written monitoring report covering the period since the last visit: total detection events, zones where activity was recorded, time-of-night patterns, trend direction and any corrective actions taken. This is considerably stronger documentation than a manual inspection log for SFA licensing and HACCP certification purposes, because it represents continuous monitoring evidence rather than a technician’s observation on a single day. The report is produced by a NEA-licensed technician and can be presented directly to auditors.
Is InnoSight™ intrusive to install? Will it affect my operations?⌄
InnoSight™ camera units are compact and positioned in back-of-house, low-access zones. They do not require significant structural modifications. Installation is typically completed within a few hours and does not require premises closure or production stoppage. Once deployed, the cameras operate continuously without any daily interaction from your staff or facility team. Innovative’s team manages the system remotely, with physical visits triggered by detection events or the scheduled service interval.
Can InnoSight™ detect mice as well as rats?⌄
Yes. InnoSight™ is calibrated to detect Norway rats (Rattus norvegicus), roof rats (Rattus rattus) and house mice (Mus musculus), the three primary rodent species managed in Singapore. Camera placement is adjusted based on species probability for the premises type. Norway rats are ground-level drain and bin centre animals. Roof rats travel elevated pipe runs and ceiling voids. House mice concentrate around food storage and preparation areas. Innovative’s site survey determines the likely species mix before cameras are positioned.
