InnoTermite™ is Innovative Pest Management's structured 4-stage termite colony elimination programme. Unlike a standard chemical barrier treatment, which suppresses termite movement without eliminating the colony itself, InnoTermite™ uses Xterm™ bait technology to reach the queen and collapse the entire colony from the inside. It begins with InnoScan™ thermal imaging to locate the colony before any treatment is applied, ensuring every bait station is placed at a confirmed activity zone rather than estimated positioning.

InnoTermite™ is optimised for Coptotermes gestroi, the subterranean termite species responsible for approximately 70 to 80% of all termite infestations in Singapore. Coptotermes gestroi builds its primary nest underground and sends foraging workers through soil and timber in search of cellulose. The Xterm™ bait stations intercept this foraging behaviour and introduce IGR bait into the colony's food-sharing network. The programme is also effective against other subterranean termite species found in Singapore.

Xterm™ contains an insect growth regulator (IGR) that interferes with the moulting process termites need to develop and reproduce. Worker termites collect the bait and distribute it through the colony via trophallaxis, a direct food-sharing behaviour where workers feed one another mouth-to-mouth. This spreads the IGR to soldiers, nymphs and ultimately the queen. Because the bait is slow-acting, workers do not associate it with harm and continue sharing it. Over weeks to months, the colony cannot sustain reproduction and collapses entirely. The queen is eliminated, and no new workers are produced.

No. InnoTermite™ does not require drilling into walls, floors or soil injection points. Stage 1 uses InnoScan™ thermal imaging, which reads through surfaces without contact. Stage 2 positions Xterm™ bait stations at floor level or in ground-level placements at activity zones. There is no liquid barrier injection, no chemical flooding of the soil and no surface damage at any stage of the programme. This makes InnoTermite™ particularly suitable for conservation properties, tiled floors, heritage buildings and premises where drilling is not permitted.

Colony elimination through baiting typically takes 6 to 12 weeks from bait station installation to confirmed collapse, depending on colony size, species, temperature and bait uptake rate. Coptotermes gestroi colonies in Singapore's climate tend to respond faster than colonies in temperate regions due to continuous activity year-round. After colony elimination is confirmed, the 9-month post-eradication monitoring and warranty period begins. The full InnoTermite™ programme, including warranty, therefore covers approximately 11 to 13 months from first inspection.

Yes. Xterm™ bait is species-specific, meaning the IGR compound targets the termite moulting process and does not affect mammalian biology. Bait stations are enclosed units, the bait material is contained within the station and not accessible to children or pets. No fumigation, no spraying and no airborne chemical dispersal occurs during any stage of the InnoTermite™ programme. The treatment is suitable for deployment in F&B premises, childcare centres, hospitals and residential properties.

The InnoTermite™ 9-month post-eradication warranty covers the same property against renewed termite activity at the treated zones. If active termites are detected at the monitored property during the warranty period, Innovative Pest Management will return and conduct additional treatment at no extra cost. The warranty is documented in writing at contract completion and includes the specific coverage period, monitored zones and Innovative's response commitment. Bait stations remain active as monitoring points throughout the warranty period.

InnoTermite™ is designed for both active infestations and prevention. For active infestations, the thermal detection at Stage 1 confirms colony location and the bait stations at Stage 2 are positioned for immediate uptake. The baiting approach is most effective when an active colony is present, as foragers actively collect and distribute the bait. For properties without confirmed activity, InnoTermite™ stations can be deployed in preventive configuration, providing early detection and immediate response capability if a colony later establishes.
